Call Route 309 Information Line with your questions
Construction updates, schedules, lane restrictions and general information available at 215-358-3093

Information on the reconstruction and improvement of the Route 309 Expressway in Montgomery County is just a phone call away at the 309 Information Line, a service of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Motorists and residents can get up to the minute reports on construction activity and scheduled lane restrictions, and order project publications at any time by calling 215-358-3093.

Callers may choose from several automated options to get basic information, or speak to an operator with questions or comments about any of the aspects of the four-year, $250 million improvement project. Operators are on hand weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. After-hours calls are returned the next business day.

In addition to the phone service, PennDOT is providing citizens with several other information options for the Route 309 project.

A just-published brochure outlines the project in detail and includes an overview of construction activity and lane restrictions expected in 2004. PennDOT also regularly publishes a project newsletter that chronicles the progress of the design and construction of planned improvements to the 10-mile long expressway between Cheltenham Avenue and Route 63 (Welsh Road).

Details on all aspects of the project, as well as a number of on-line customer services, also are available at the project website, www.309online.com.
